Samantha is a Masters student at Arizona State University as a full scholarship recipient studying with Dr. Elizabeth Buck.

At ASU, Samantha performs with the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. She won the 2015 ASU Concert of Soloists Competition, and performed the Martin Ballade with the ASU Symphony Orchestra. Samantha graduated summa cum laude from Purchase Conservatory of Music where she studied with Dr. Tara Helen O’Connor of Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in NYC. At Purchase, she performed with the Symphony Orchestra as principal flute, working with notable conductors such as George Manahan and singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant.

Samantha has attended the Jim Walker Masterclass, Marina Piccinini Masterclass, Interharmony Music Festival, the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival, and New York Summer Music Festival where she had the privilege of working with renowned flutists such as Marina Piccinini, Linda Chesis, Brad Garner, Jeffrey Khaner, Robert Langevin, and Jim Walker.

Samantha is an excellent teacher. When I started, I had trouble making any sound on the flute but she taught me embouchure and a bunch of fingerings. It's too bad I moved away, or I would still be taking lessons with her!
