Book NowI offer Intermediate and Advanced Guitar Lessons for electric, acoustic, and bass guitar. I have over 20 years playing and songwriting experience, including live shows, recordings, and tours; I've been lead guitarist for the metal band Locusta since 2006. I've been teaching guitar for 14 years and have had thousands of hours of teaching experience in that time.
Lessons are available on advanced topics such as music theory, songwriting, lead guitar technique, sweep picking, and classical guitar (i.e. Bach/Spanish guitar), as well as non-guitar specific subjects like home and studio recording, ear training, rhythm, and drum programming (no drum experience necessary). Personalized lessons are offered as well as structured 4 to 8 week courses on specific subjects.
I mainly specialize in rock and metal but enjoy listening to and teaching classical, jazz, (old)country, blues, funk, or almost any other kind of music. I play in a death metal band and my favorite guitar players range ...

Good singing is a combination of good singing technique and performing. When you learn how to sing expressively, letting your heart touch the heart of the listeners, a connection is made that makes the performance memorable. I work with young people and adults of all ages teaching classic technique combined with performance skills. Lessons start with exercises to improve breath control to support your voice and help you sing on key. Vocal exercises will help you increase the timbre and quality of your voice and increase your range making it easier to hit those high notes. You will also learn how to use phrasing as you sing to put feeling into the words and connect with the audience. As your voice develops you will build a repertoire of music in any style that you like to sing from Baroque, to Folk, Pop Music or Broadway as you learn how to use your voice to make a beautiful sound that you will love.
About Helen
If you like to sing and want to learn how to be a better singer, you don't have to have any previous experience or training. I specialize in teaching beginning singers of any age how to sing using the classic technique that is the foundation for singing any genre or style of music from Bach to Broa

Hear From TakeLessons Students
Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

I feel very grateful to have found and now be taught by Jesse. Despite my considerable age beyond his, he treats me as a peer and has kept me on my toes with learning tasks. Further, lessons are actually fun as well as challenging and about once a quarter, we have "band night" where many of his active students come together to socialize and to "jam" together.
I've had other teachers in my life (I'm in my 60's) and Jesse is by far the most intelligent, skillful and enthusiastic.
My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner."

She has been with us for over 3 years and It is still something my daughter looks forward to every week. You cant find a better teacher. We love her!"

Tablature is a form of musical notation that was invented to make reading music easier for fretted and string instruments like guitar, bass, and violin. The premise is operationally-based, meaning that rather than showing rhythm, duration, and pitch, violin tabs will show the player where and when to place their fingers on the instrument. For an improvising musician, violin tabs allow you to improvise while staying within the chord structure of a song. Tablature-style notation is most commonly …
