Trombone with Sam T.

I have received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master's degree from Texas State University, both in jazz studies. I am currently residing in Minneapolis, where I am looking to build a studio and get a solid group of students to teach and appreciate music. Jazz theory and improvising are what I focused on for my six years of schooling, but I also focused on classical repertoire, played gigs that involve pop, rock, blues, and many other types of genres. I have performed at multiple jazz festivals and have been awarded outstanding soloist, I have performed with the Texas based jazz trombone ensemble called "Jazz Bonez" and I played with the Monster Big Band at the famous Elephant Room in Austin Texas. I am currently performing with the Twin Cities Brass Band which is an English Style brass band based in Bloomington Minnesota. I am serving as the principal trombonist and the head of the low brass section on our committee for the group. I look forward to hearing back and getting started on making some music!
