Hello, I am a music teacher, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. My passion is music and I absolutely love teaching. I have over ten years experience teaching music in all different types of settings to all different age groups, but my favorite is one-on-one time with a beginner who is excited to learn. I love inspiring music in others and with my time away from performing, I am passionate about teaching. I specialize in performing and teaching musical styles that include pop, rock, jazz, funk, and classical. I appreciate and teach all levels of music theory and music performance. I graduated from the Herb Alpert school of music at UCLA where I obtained a degree in jazz performance with a minor in music education. My love and appreciation of music is where my focus as a teacher stems from; I believe in developing a student’s musical abilities and helping them be the best they can be. I hope to instill a love for music in each student I teach. Everyone is different and learns differently so I tailor a lesson plan specifically for each student that gets the best results with the most amount of fun. *** Lesson Details *** I am a fun and friendly instructor. Pop, rock, jazz, funk or classical. In my lessons we play what YOU want! I love teaching beginners, helping both inspire a love of music and building a solid musical foundation so you can make all your playing dreams come true. I will get you up and playing fast and focus on whatever style of music YOU are interested in! We'll work together and learn songs you want to play and build a strong musical foundation in: instrumental technique, music reading, and music theory. All my lessons are individually tailored to my students, even though we'll use books. I love music and always have so much fun teaching. I am a laid back instructor, and the lessons can be as serious or relaxed as you are comfortable with. *(Repeated from my bio section) My love and appreciation of music is where my focus as a teacher stems from; I believe in developing a student’s musical abilities and helping them be the best they can be. I hope to instill a love for music in each student I teach. Everyone is different and learns differently so I tailor a lesson plan specifically for each student that gets the best results with the most amount of fun. *** Travel Equipment *** Have their own instrument *** Specialties *** Beginning students.
