I am an experienced guitar player & teacher from Australia. I have lived in California for over 3 years now and absolutely love it here. I have played the guitar 20+ years and I have played professionally and won the Bon Jovi Guitar Solo competition in 1995 performing on mainstream radio station 92.9FM winning a private lesson of a lifetime with Bon Jovi Guitarist Richie Sambora.
I have also worked for Guitar Center as a Certified Guitar & Accessories Expert. I have developed a fun and uniquely structured learning model based on my own unique experiences that strongly focusses on techniques used and made famous by some of the world’s greatest and well know rock & blues guitarists that you can eventually integrate into your own style, making you the best guitar player you can possibly be.
I believe that when you unlock and discover the amazing potential within you that you thought you never had, and the guitar did this for me, it changes everything. I will help you learn about the guitar, build a solid foundation based on good technique, provide many different positive ways to understand important concepts, develop your ears, measure and review your progress regularly and get you playing pieces of music from day one. I am very flexible in understanding that everyone progresses differently and I will help plan the best ways you can use your available time to improve your playing level.
Very professional! Great teaching skills. Alex does a very thorough assessment to get to know where his student is at and what areas need work. Really care about what his student wants to get out of the lesson.
Alex is hands down an amazing guitar teacher. My playing improved greatly thanks to his guidance. I was playing for one year before I decided to take lessons and it was the best decision I made. He is a friendly, patient teacher who knows how to help you achieve what you want on the guitar. His lessons are always fun and interesting and the songs he helps you choose to learn the techniques are contemporary songs and just awesome to lean on the guitar.+ Read More
