    About Robert G.

I was born in 1984. I started playing trumpet at the age of 9. My second instrument is the piano. I played trumpet in school bands since the fourth grade. I also studied Jazz music in school. I come from a family of musicians. My dad is a drummer, and he has a Latin Rock band. Jazz music is my favorite music (and Salsa music as well). I do love all music's though. I believe that Music Therapy is a very important job in society, as I believe we need to decrease prison/jail populations and music is a core discipline to help others in the rehabilitation process. And teaching music to children is the greatest thing a parent can do for their kids, as music is great for health, happiness and the brain. (I am also a dad and my son is 3 years old. I am teaching him drums, piano and trumpet). “Let us use music to decrease jail, prison and psychiatric hospital populations… let us heal, and develop each others minds, with the use of music.” Can Music save lives? Can we use music to decrease jail/prison populations? Will music help a child’s brain development? Psychology and Child Development are related studies. The Senate just passed an Act That The Arts Are Considered Core Subjects. We need more people to use music, start programs, to help our country move toward better goals, like decreasing prison populations and to heal minds, and develop minds, with the use of music.
