When I was 5, my mom told me I could take lessons on any instrument I'd like. I chose the flute. She asked me what my second choice was.
I've played violin for 17 years. A graduate of the Suzuki method, I grew up in Denver, where I performed with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, and the LIttleton Symphony Orchestra. During senior year of high school, I became a studio assistant for my teacher, and I started teaching privately myself.
I got my Bachelor's in Music from Dartmouth, where I studied with Liesl Doty. For a term, I studied in London with Dona Lee Croft at the Royal College of Music. I performed a Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Recital, as well as with chamber groups and the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra.
I moved to Minneapolis this August. My studio is new here, but my experience and expertise is constant. I give students the skills they need to achieve their musical ambitions. I strive to be compassionate and fair as a teacher, just as my Suzuki teachers were to me.
