Through my professional classical training at Juilliard to become a concert pianist and a teacher, I have had vast, wonderful experience in a life of music. I have taught students as young as 4 and as old as 70 of all levels to help them discover their passion for piano. 

I believe a solid technique should be the foundation for any great musician, and I help my students develop technique, listening skills, musicality, and knowledge in music.

My life in music began at the age of 3 and I have trained at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Pre-College Division, Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University (BM), and am currently completing my Master of Music degree at the prestigious Juilliard School. 

I have performed all over the US, including in Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, and in Japan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and Slovenia. I have received prizes in many international competitions and am just as passionate about performing as I am about teaching! Music is my life and I hope to share my love for music worth my students.

Rieko is a kind, patient, and enthusiastic teacher who has improved my piano playing tremendously. I look forward to every week's lesson and highly recommend her to anyone interested in taking piano lessons.
