It is important to have teacher, student, and parents work together to see the accomplishments happen in the future. I make the lessons meaningful, so that my student can retain the information and practice effectively at home. My ultimate goal is to have my student think critically and listen carefully, so that they can become their own teacher.

About Richard H.

I started playing the violin when I was 12 years old. Some of my notable teachers include: Ricardo Cyncynates, Rochelle Abramson, Guido Lamell, and Tatiana Chulochnikova. I enjoyed playing in the summer music camp at Interlochen and Curtis Institute of Music Summerfest for Adults. I performed as a member of the orchestra for many years in CA and DMV area.

Music is a universal language and I am passionate to teach each of my students and give public performance. I feel it is important to practice with a goal in mind whether it maybe a short or long term goal. My curriculum involves left hand and right hand techniques that utilize Alexander Technique to play the violin with ease. I use different teaching materials and methods depending on the student's need.

Please don't hesitate to contact me to schedule your violin lesson!
