I have been teaching private and group music lessons for decades. I hold a Master of Music Education degree with a woodwind specialty. In addition to private lessons, I have taught in public and private schools, presented clinics, and judged at music festivals and honor band auditions. Each student brings their own strengths and weaknesses to the studio. Working together, you can expect to improve weekly in tone production, technique, range, musicality, or other areas of focus. I have guided last chair players to first chair, and timid musicians to confidence. I have taught most all ages from five to ninety. My strengths as a teacher include the ability to explain concepts in different ways to facilitate understanding, troubleshooting difficulties, and building confidence.
