Hey there! My name is Rebekah! I was born into a very musical family and am originally from the beautiful Cayman Islands. In 2004, I graduated from Florida Southern College earning my Bachelor’s in Music Education Degree with a concentration in vocal studies. While at Florida Southern, I had the awesome privilege of studying classical voice under the world renowned mezzo soprano, the late Beverly Wolff. Following earning my degree, I returned home to the Cayman Islands where I began building a career in music education. For over 12 years, I had the privilege of teaching general music to over 500 students per week. I also enjoyed teaching voice and piano privately during this time. Throughout my teaching career, I have dedicated much time in preparing instrumental and vocal soloists, small ensembles, and large choirs for local competitions where they won numerous gold and silver awards. I have a deep love for musical theater and have produced and directed many Jr Musicals featuring my students. As a teacher, I have won numerous awards including the Cayman Islands Classroom of the Month Award in May of 2016. I am also an accomplished Jazz vocalist and I love to perform in my free time. I work very well with people and am very patient and kind, which is very important in the field of teaching. Look forward to assisting you as we explore this wonderful world of music.
