About Rebecca F.
I have 50 years of teaching experience, from beginners to advanced students. I also teach the people no one else thinks are teachable because I work with people from where they are and find their best learning styles. Several of my students are now professional musicians, but that's not everyone's course. I teach every age range from 3-83 and everything from classical to country-western. And I teach every orchestral and band instrument, and guitar, bass, and drum kit and some instruments you've never heard of. I also teach voice, pop, rock, opera, doesn't matter to me.
*** Lesson Details ***
Important Note: I will no longer take new students that want lessons every other week, beginning Nov 1. Inconsistent lessons, especially with younger students, allows them to forget too much between sessions.
What I teach is transferable to EVERY endeavor whether it's music or math or soccer. I require practice on the student's part. You will be able to play recognizable songs within your first month. You tell me what you or your child wants out of music lessons, and I will tell you exactly how to get it.
*** Studio Equipment ***
Lesson will happen in a space next to the family room which is upstairs. Teacher has a collection of instruments, music stands, couches for seating. Park on the street or driveway.

*** Specialties ***
I'm flexible. I have taught everything from country western guitar to classical guitar, from Jazz trumpet to orchestral audition music, from barbershop singing to Broadway musical singing. I have even taught ballet. I cater my methods to the student's best learning style.

Rebecca has a firm grasp of music and is able to convey it to the student. She knows how to show you how to improve what you are practicing, I think her varied background is very helpful no matter what you are studying.

I really like this teacher and most important the student Lily loves her that is most important for her to enjoy the teacher and the lesson she is very excited about learning the violin!

I had a good experience with my instructor. She's very knowledgeable and patient. The area where instructions are given are a little cramped.

Very payient witj me, so far.

Very professional musician and educator. The lessons are very helpful.

First time using a banjo was a bit awkward trying to keep my fingers on
the right strings.

Rebecca is a great teacher. She zeros in on your individual talents and needs. I must say, I'm doing better than I ever thought I would and I know it is because of Rebecca's insights to her students and her knowledge of music!

Quick analysis; learn at every appointment

I really enjoyed having Rebecca as my singing teacher. I feel it changed my outlook on singing and has helped me with my confidence in singing in front of other people. Thanks so much:) I have now moved onto piano lessons with her and have had my first lesson and all is going well!

Wow! She is the instructor I was looking for. It's hard to find a guitar teacher that knows music theory and knows how to relate it to playing jazz guitar improvisations which I'm trying to master.

Encouraging, receptive, genuine, and able to connect with my child on her level to give her a good start in learning her instrument. Pretty great for a first lesson. The studio was a really small area but not a problem for us.

I love having Rebecca as a teacher. She works at my pace and is easy to learn from. I have really enjoyed my lessons and would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their voice.

Had a great time. It was fun. I am looking forward to the lesson.

Phillip loved her!

Emily loved her!

Rebecca is a great teacher, she takes the time to teach a student what they really need to know where they are starting at. Rebecca was willing to work with the type of music of our choice. Great lady with lots to offer.

We really having Rebecca at our house giving my 10 years old daughter flute lessons. She is really fun and has a cheerful way of teaching. I appreciate very much that she dedicates herself in teaching and sometimes even stays longer than the designated time with my girl to explain more to her.
She is a talented instructor with a wonderful personality.

We've briefly tried guitar instructions at a studio and in my home and weren't really happy with either. Decided to give it another go and were very lucky to find Rebecca.
My 10 year old grandson is learning to play an electric guitar whereas I favor the acoustic. Instead of doing 2 separate half hour lessons, Rebecca let us combine them into a single hour that we take together. Doing the lessons together makes it easy to see how Rebecca makes adjustments to each person's abilities and instrument. A number of the songs in the music book are made for 3 separate guitars, which makes it more enjoyable/interesting as each one of us (including Rebecca) take turns playing a different guitar's section at the same time.
A real down to earth individual that is both joyful and serious. I keep coming up with questions regarding music and playing the guitar. Whether its part of the lesson or not; she is always provides me with an answer that is easy to understand.
I would highly recommend Rebecca as an instructor.

Rebecca is awesome to work with. She explains things clearly and makes the lessons fun and super informative!

Very knowledgeable, received the information I needed to continue on my own.
This produst was a great way to find a banjo teacher, when we had no idea where to even start looking.
Mrs. Fegan is a great instructor, who can explain things on all levels to make sure your child is truly learning. She has a fun disposition and you can tell she really enjoys teaching. My son loves her, learns more than just the banjo at lessons. She is very patient, yet expects my son to do his part too. We have been with her for a year, and now my son has added Baritone lessons as well, because of the encouragement and support, and respect she gives my son. Best teacher we have ever had! I truly believe Mrs. Fegan could teach my son anything, because she teaches the way a person seems to learn at their own ability.
Becky is a wonderful teacher!
Becky has been both my choir director and my daughter's piano teacher. I hope to be able to take lessons from her myself on day. She is one of the most musically talented people I have ever met. I truly believe that Becky could teach anybody anything!

I have been giving private lessons and group lessons in everything from guitar classes to individual voice/instrumental lesson. I have also conducted church choirs and written music that has been performed by the Simpson College Choir. In addition, I have written and arranged music for various and sundry instruments that members of the congregation have performed for Christmas and Easter services. The Fine Arts Academy has also offered lessons in art and dance, though I no longer have the physical capacity to teach dance, and art classes are done only through boy/girl scout programs now.
