Offering quality piano, flute, and clarinet lessons in-home or on Zoom

I base the lessons on what my students want to learn and are interested in. I want my students to have fun while learning to play the piano and learning to read music. I want my students to enjoy learning the piano so I let them chose the songs they want to learn. I have three binders full of popular and well known songs for students to chose from. I also use piano worksheets with young beginners to help them learn the notes on the piano and their finger numbers.

Hi there! My name is Rachel and I am a music teacher looking for students in Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, and Westminster. I also teach online lessons. I teach flute all levels, beginning/intermediate clarinet, and beginning/intermediate piano. I have taught private and group lessons on these instruments for seven years. I also received my Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the University of Redlands in 2005. I have a Professional Colorado Teaching License and I taught elementary general music, band, and choir for nine years. I teach students of all ages for half hour, 45 minute, and hour lessons. I want my students to enjoy learning their instrument, so I teach them what they want to learn and let them chose songs that they want to play. I believe that music lessons should be fun as well as educational. I create an atmosphere where making mistakes helps you learn so my students are not afraid to make mistakes. I am very enthusiastic about teaching music and I love it when my students master new skills. I have taught beginning students to read music and become accomplished on their instrument. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your musical goals!

Mrs. Rachel is a wonderful music teacher! My daughter takes clarinet lessons with her and I can tell how fast she learned in a short period of time. She is knowledgeable, fun and very flexible with our busy schedule.

My son began piano lessons with Rachel nearly two years ago and we have been very happy working with her. He has progressed steadily and is continually challenged to improve. She selects musical pieces that fit his personal interests as well as more traditional pieces with increasing complexity. We hope to continue learning with her for many more years to come.
