- Teaching since:
I have been teaching ESL to international students since high school. I have taught basic to Intermediate levels. I am stilling working on my degree, but have personal experience teaching ESL. I especially have experience teaching Spanish speakers. I have been multiple times to Colombia, South America, where my husband is from. I also have a part-time job and I am mother. I have studied at Tulsa Community College and Community College of Denver. I made the Dean's List at both Community Colleges. I am planning on transferring to either MSU Denver or CU Denver to complete my degree.
I have musical experience as well. I was pursing , at first, a Music Degree but have recently have decided to change my focus to Linguistics. I still dearly love music but found that I would rather purse Linguistics as a career and have music be my hobby. My principal instrument is voice. I taught voice privately to elementary and middle school girls. I worked on a film score for an Independent foreign film in Colombia called La Montana. I also tutored college students struggling with Music Theory level I-II. I play the flute and the piano as well.
In my spare time I like to take barre classes, hike, enjoy good food, travel, go to concerts and plays, and spend time with my husband, daughter, and puppy.
Very pleasant to work with her, as she is patient and gives great, clear feedback. Glad I chose her as my instructor.
she is the very kind!!!
Really great lesson! I was nervous more than a lot and by the end of the session I felt very comfortable. Will be consulting Rachel again!
Great experience for first lesson with Rachel. Have studied with dozens of teachers. She knows how to sing with a very pleasant sound, and does not overcomplicate matters. Gave a couple tips which immediately improved my sound. Very nice person. Looking forward to many sessions with her.+ Read More
