Rachael is an amazing teacher. She started teaching my son in fourth grade. Her patience, perseverance, and knowledge took my son to another level; exceeding his peers. Under Rachael's instruction and guidance he was able to come so far; being accepted into a camp which he had to audition for, becoming principal violist in his school program and this year, became a rotating principal in our local prelude youth orchestra. None of this could have been achieved without Rachael's instruction. She was flexible when needed, available for advice during off hours and inspired my son to always aspire to do his best. If you are looking for an instructor that is patient, can look outside of the box and is in engaged in your student's success, Rachael is the teacher for you!

Rachael not only teaches students violin and viola; she helps them develop a love of music that compliments their education. She incorporates theory and history with fundamental music instruction. During her six and a half years of teaching in Bangor, Maine she was never at a loss for students, and her flexible schedule always found a way to accommodate new students. She has a passion for music that radiates to her students, and she is well-liked by parents. Rachael’s creativity allows her to individualize lessons to students’ abilities and needs. It is evident in her teaching that she desires the student to succeed, and encourages them to seek performance opportunities. Rachael schedules regular recitals and has prepared several students for orchestra auditions. Rachael has taught three of our children either as their primary teacher or as a tutor. She has always displayed patience and been encouraging, while challenging them to become better musicians. Her experience teaching private lessons in a studio, group lessons in a Montessori School, and conducting a youth orchestra allows her to use a variety of teaching techniques that helps students to excel. Additionally, she has taught in a music camp setting that allowed her to work with students on a more personal level. Finally, Rachael is a professional when dealing with parents, and in all aspects of managing the business-side of teaching. She is a good communicator, patient, responsible, and punctual.
