Hello, my name is Phoenix Krebs. I’ve been teaching guitar professionally for a couple of years now and I would love to help you learn the hobby that you’ve always wanted to learn. I teach many different styles such as metal, rock, blues, jazz, and more. Whatever the style is that you want to learn, I can teach it to you. I also love to get my students involved in music theory to help them understand as well as appreciate music in a whole new light. I teach all ages, children, and adults. If it’s your dream to be able to write your own songs or maybe if you just want to learn how to play your favorite songs, I can be the one to help you with that. My main goal with every one of my students is to build a cordial relationship with them by discussing things such as why they want to learn guitar, what are their favorite bands/genres of music, what is their main goal with the instrument, etc. I believe that building this kind of relationship helps the student feel more comfortable in a learning environment and it also helps the student engage more in the lessons. I love to incorporate many different genres in my teachings such as blues, rock, metal, pop, and jazz. Teaching difficult techniques or confusing topics such as the modes of the major scale, the CAGED system, secondary dominant chords, barre chords, soloing with chord tones, and other music theory concepts are what I do best. I breakdown and explain these concepts in great detail to make sure everyone can understand them.
