Whether you need help with coursework, are new to music, or just need some brushing up, we will get your ear sharpened right up!

I believe that the study of music is one of the most rewarding pursuits we can undertake! Whether a total beginner, college student or adult looking to brush up on skills or learn new ones, I will help you reach your goals! As a lecturer with the Tulane University Department of Music in New Orleans, LA I primarily teach music theory and history. As a private oboe and piano teacher, I have taught students of all ages and levels. I received my Master's degree in Oboe Performance from the University of Akron where was a graduate assistant for oboe and music theory. I currently perform professionally, including with the Louisiana Philharmonic, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, and Rapides, Acadiana, and Lake Charles Symphonies. Having studied piano since the age of 8 through graduate school, I enjoy performing as a vocal accompanist for Tulane students as well as for local churches. I am able to offer lessons at Tulane University and am able to travel throughout the metropolitan area. As I am frequently performing throughout the state of Louisiana, I can also arrange special lessons in other cities. Feel free to contact me about scheduling a lesson! I am also happy to assist you in finding an instrument, supplies, sheet music and method books. Having the right setup is the best way to ensure success!
