My son started playing violin with Philip two years ago. He is a very responsible and detail-oriented teacher. He emphasizes fundamental skills as well as advanced techniques. Every 45 minute class is efficiently taught and my son has made trememdous progress over the past two years. I highly recommend Philip to any violin learner who wants to build a solid foundation and develop superior techniques in violin playing. He is a great teacher!

Philip's attention to form and technique is greatly appreciated. Our son has improved a great deal in his technical skills in violin since starting with Philip. Philip is a clear communicator, and sets the expectations with the student from the very beginning, and empowers the student to take charge of their own learning.

We are very grateful for everything that Philip has taught our daughter over the past four years. She started with Philp as a beginner, but is now nearly advanced level. Violin is a hard instrument, but my daughter really enjoys learning from Philip and she has made tremendous progress. Last year, she won a gold medal at the DMTA performance festival in her age category, and we couldn’t be more excited for her! She couldn’t have achieved what she has today without Philip’s guidance. Even though we switched to online lessons from in person lessons since COVID hit, her progress never slowed down. Philip is an amazing teacher and musician. We highly recommend him!
