About Peyton W.

At a very young age I discovered my passion for music. As a child I was involved in numerous state choirs, prestigious orchestras, and symphonies. In college, I studied piano performance, music composition, and played violin in the Western Washington University Symphony. Throughout my music education I was instructed by some of the greatest teachers and conductors in the PNW, all of whom used different teaching styles and techniques. I've taught both piano and violin for 6 years and incorporate what I've learned to personalize lessons for each student.
In my experience, people learn best when they enjoy the music they're learning and become aware of their progress and accomplishments. I encourage my students to be patient when learning a difficult piece or gaining new skills. Like anythings progress takes a little time and hard work, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun along the way!
