Peter is a wonderful teacher with a beautiful space located in Los Feliz. There is plenty of parking and the location is easy to get in and out of. He is extremely patient and excellent at listening to my needs as a student. I have learned so much about music theory since I have started with Peter and hope to conitinue to grow and learn with him.+ Read More
Peter's studio is conveniently located, and there is ample and easy parking. As an adult learner, I was very nervous to begin, and Peter has put me at ease. He takes things in a logical order and is extremely supportive. I always feel very confident in beginning something new due to his thorough explanations and demonstrations. I am really enjoying getting to know the piano, and Peter has made it even more enjoyable!+ Read More
A wonderful introduction to piano for an adult beginner, with no musical background. My first lesson was engaging and informative - I am excited to continue!
I have taken lessons from several other teachers, and while they were all accomplished and competent, really none could compare with the inspired instruction I'm receiving Peter. Though we have been working together for a relatively short time, I feel I have made progress through issues that had dogged me for years -- like sight-reading with confidence, keeping time, and generally relaxing! He has a teaching method and prescribed lesson plans, to be sure, but he is flexible and intuitive enough to work with a student to determine what strategies will help push us past our barriers -- and we all have them. He is kind and funny, but exacting and firm. The lessons are enjoyable, but they're not play time! I've learned so much from Peter already, and can't wait to see what lies ahead!+ Read More
Peter is the greatest! As an adult beginner I was a little intimidated to be taking lessons from someone as talented and experienced as Peter, but that absolutely melted away the moment our first lesson began. He is incredibly patient and inspiring, and even though I'm just starting my piano education, Peter consistently boosts my confidence which helps me break through to the next level.
Taking lessons with Peter has also inspired me to listen to classical pieces, many at his suggestion, that I had long forgotten or never had the chance to know.
