My teaching style focuses on the development of solid technique, musical understanding, and accurate sight-reading. I help students tackle tough problems at each lesson, while developing tools to ensure smooth practice sessions and avoid frustration. I bring enthusiasm and professionalism to every lesson, and develop a personalized plan tailored to each student’s personality and playing style.
About Peter S.

I enjoy working with students of all ages, and have experience teaching from ages 4 to 80! Peter is a wonderful teacher with a beautiful space located in Los Feliz. There is plenty of parking and the location is easy to get in and out of. He is extremely patient and excellent at listening to my needs as a student. I have learned so much about music theory since I have started with Peter and hope to conitinue to grow and learn with him.

Teacher's Studio

Peter's studio is conveniently located, and there is ample and easy parking. As an adult learner, I was very nervous to begin, and Peter has put me at ease. He takes things in a logical order and is extremely supportive. I always feel very confident in beginning something new due to his thorough explanations and demonstrations. I am really enjoying getting to know the piano, and Peter has made it even more enjoyable!

A wonderful introduction to piano for an adult beginner, with no musical background. My first lesson was engaging and informative - I am excited to continue!
