Music is a part of everyone. Yes, that means YOU! 

Too many people say they "wish" they knew how to play an instrument, as if it wasn't up to them. As if those skills fell out of the sky and landed on people luckier than them. Well they don't. 

The ability to play is a skill that YOU CAN LEARN. Music Theory is knowledge that YOU CAN LEARN. You want to learn these things, and I want to help you!

I've taught private and group piano classes in San Diego for 2 years, and it truly has become my passion. I'm constantly looking for more opportunities to grow and spread the joy of music to those who seek it.

My ultimate goal as an instructor is to inspire confidence and provide my students with the foundational tools necessary to be musicians in their own right. I want to leave you with the drive, curiosity, and tools to continue learning on your own, if and when our relationship comes to an end.

A little about me:

I grew up in Portland Oregon and attended Oregon State University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Music. 

I moved down to San Diego in 2017 seeking a change in scenery. I absolutely love it down here, and have been fortunate to surround myself with great people.

For two years now I have been teaching private lessons and group classes at a local music center, and really enjoy the work that I do. With students of all ages, I'm comfortable in any setting and can adapt to handle any students' specific needs.

I'm easy going, I'm a self-proclaimed goofball, and I like to joke around and have fun! I honestly believe that's what makes my teaching style so effective.

But make no mistake; when it comes to teaching I'll be as real as you want me to be. I want to take your curiosity for music and turn it into knowledge and appreciation.
