Teaching since:
June 2002

I have accumulated a wealth of experience working with a diverse group of students as a current music teacher at a private studio. My roster ranges from the smallest grade school student hoping to play just like their favorite pop star to elderly retirees seeking to undertake a new challenge. Despite the variety of learners, I provided a quality service with a personalized, yet pragmatic lesson plan. I carefully selected different curricula based on the individual needs of my student, at times implementing materials that I had created myself. At the same time, I made sure to incorporate the songs and techniques that a student requested. I sought to create a curriculum that would not only enable them to learn their favorite songs, but one that would also teach them the proper technique and importance of practice. By using this method, I have inspired several of my students to pursue music at every level-as a career or as a personal passion.

Music Performance · In studio

I had an amazing experience with Patrick. He taught me so much about music theory and performance, but also found a way to incorporate my own interests into the lesson. Each session felt very personal. He seems very enthusiastic about his students and genuinely cares about them.

I have worked with Patrick for several years and he is just outstanding. He is very interactive and balances the need to work on fundamentals with the desire of the student to play advanced material. I would recommend Patrick for anyone who is serious about playing guitar or bass.
