    About Pam P.

My name is Pam P. I'm a cellist from Pittsburgh, PA. I have a Bachelor and Master of Music from Duquesne University where I studied with Adam Liu, assistant principle cellist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. While at Duquesne I also independently studied String Pedagogy with Stephen Benham, President of the American String Teachers Association. I play both classical and alternative styles of music. I work closely with a few contemporary composers having premiered a number of pieces, I am a section cellist with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, and I am part of and/or have recorded for several alternative rock bands in the area. I have been sought after for my skills and writing abilities in the alternative genre and appear on several albums. My Masters thesis was focused on learning multiple genres of music (i.e. classical and rock and roll) therefore I feel very confident teaching either or both styles to anyone of any age.
