I use the Suzuki method for younger flute students and a combination of Blocki Flute Method and Rubank for students who are in fifth grade and above. I work with students to set specific goals for their progress and encourage them to enter solo and ensemble, all county and all-state competitions and I prepare them for those competitions if they want to enter them. I also work with adults and teenagers. I teach piano up to the intermediate level using the Faber books.
I teach harp classes at two elementary, two middle schools and one high school. We have approximately 50 students countywide enrolled in harp. Two of the county harp students have received full tuition college scholarships with harp being at least one of the reasons they got the scholarship.+ Read More

My son loves his harp lessons. He is only 4, but she has made playing harp such a joy for him that he practices every day. We are very lucky to have found her.
Pam is wonderful. She really knows the harp and we hit it off very well for our first session together. Looking forward to our next lesson.
Very good lesson! My first with skype. Pam was very clear, precise and helpful and made clear, good assignments for next week. SO glad I signed up for lessons with her. This is great!

As a parent of a 14 year old flutist, I was apprehensive in doing online flute lessons initially but am glad that I did. We chose Pam for our on line lesson teacher based on her high level of experience. My daughter needed help with her audition music and Pam was able to work with her to get her ready with our tight deadline that we had. Pam even took it upon herself to look into all the material that was needed for her audition and scanned the missing docs that I overlooked. She is always thinking ahead and preparing material for the next lesson. I would highly recommend Pam for a private lesson teacher, I am glad we found her!+ Read More

Has shown great dedication to her work as an Instructor and with utmost professionalism.
She is always prepared for a lesson with punctuality. Her methodology
Employ, in teaching a lesson, is quite organized. She plans her lesson to
Conform to the student’s learning level. The books used are quite
Comprehensive and easy to follow. She has a great personality, cordial and
Employs a lot of patient during the lesson.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Pam as a Flute Instructor.
Yours with appreciation,
Frank Virella – Student
Pam is a wonderful flute teacher. While I was studying with her in high school, I developed a love for music and the flute that will stay with me for the rest of my life. She has a keen ability to push her students to excel, while also encouraging them and nurturing their passion for music. It has been several years since I've studied with Pam -- I've since graduated from college and moved to the West Coast -- but the lessons I learned from Pam have stayed with me, and will stay with me for many years to come.+ Read More
I have known Pam Irwin for the past 14 years. I remember praying to find instrumental music teachers for my daughters when they were in the first and third grades. I was looking to find flute and harp teachers and was thrilled to find an extremely qualified and caring teacher for both of them! Pam is a multitalented, skilled musician who has many years of experience in teaching private music lessons. She was the only teacher for my girls for harp and flute and took them from the beginning to the advanced levels. She was especially gifted in working with my daughters to play duets together. Pam utilized recitals as well as numerous other opportunities to perform at churches, orchestras, weddings, and other social events of which they have continued on their own. Pam instilled a lifelong love of music in my daughters and their music education has continued to the present while they are in college. I highly recommend Pam Irwin as a top choice music instructor for children, youth, and adults of any age.+ Read More
I started harp lessons when I was 8 years old, and neither my parents nor I ever thought about looking for another teacher. Pam Irwin's teaching style made it easy for me to learn many wedding songs, hymns, and classical pieces. This has led to numerous church performances as well as weddings and parties. I've been so blessed to have her as my teacher from the beginning all the way through the 12th grade. During my college freshman year, I won the talent show at Florida College playing the harp. She is well capable to take a beginner to the advanced level. She is patient, kind, thoughtful, and encouraging. I would not be the musician I am today if it weren't for her excellent teaching.+ Read More
