Hi there, my name is Orlando Gilbert. I'm 21 years old, and I'm currently studying at Berklee College of Music on full scholarship. Since I was born into musical family in New Orleans, all my life I've been saturated in music. I've studied the saxophone in the classical and jazz tradition from a young age, and I've dedicated my life to music. I've also played with a myriad of jazz legends and Grammy award winning/nominated musicians like Delfayo Marsalis, Donald Harrison, The Rebirth Brass Band, Galactic, and many others. I'm more than happy and willing to pass down all I have learned from those wonderful musicians to my students as well. I believe that having proper instruction is crucial to any prospective or active musician. I focus on the fundamentals-- sound, reading, and technique-- for beginners, and I specialize in soloing, performance, arranging, production, and music theory. I'm really excited to start teaching in Boston, and I can't wait to meet y'all!
