"If you're a student who wants to learn anything from the Pop/Beatles to Spanish/world music, Classical, Punk, Metal, a 'niche' genre, or focus on songwriting/theory. I will provide custom made lessons each week for your learning needs. My method is a mixture of classical training and ear focused. Nina is awesome, patient, and understanding of what i would like to learn and accomplish out of my lessons. I highly recommend her for anyone, who would like a highly intelligent teacher who wants her students to succeed in her lessons.
Learning guitar is hard work! Learning music is hard work! Nina is patient, knowledgeable, and disciplined, yet flexible enough if you want to explore a tangent. Be prepared to put in the work on your own in order to make the most of your lesson time.
Nina is very talented, I have zero music experience and in just a few weeks I am learning timing, reading rhythm and tab and starting to play some songs I want to learn. She has a real gift for music and teaching and is able to assess how a student learns and can modify the lesson seamlessly to fit that learning style. She is very patient and positive and its clear that Nina really cares about your progress. She's good people.+ Read More
I am so glad I found Nina. She's everything you could want in a teacher...patient, positive, clear, and prepared. She has taught me so much already about reading music and basic guitar skills to begin playing. Since I'm left-handed, Nina prepared reference sheets for me so that I can learn the fret board and how to play keys on my left-handed guitar. She's the best!+ Read More

Nina has been working with both my daughters for a couple of months now. They have shown great progress! One of my daughter's has never picked up a guitar, but since the lessons can not put it down. Nina does a great job finding out the music interest of my daughters and incorporates that into her lessons. Which makes learning easier and fun for my girls. My husband and I are completely satisfied!!+ Read More

Nina taught me phrasing, key changes, and beginning theory, She was very patient and helpful whenever it took me awhile to get something. She would even customize lessons to meet my needs and come to my place when her studio was very far.
Nina is the most attentive teacher I've ever had. I moved two years ago and was sad to discontinue lessons. She taught me folk, blues, and classical style. Whatever I wanted she was adept at showing. I learned blues soloing and phrasing and was happy to find that when I jammed with other musicians I could now follow along. She is excellant. I hope to continue skype lessons through reverb soon.+ Read More
Nina is the best music instructor I've had! I've been taking the songwriting track, and right off the bat she was super attentive to my goals and keeps making sure we're on the right track and challenged along the way. She also helps me record my compositions and gives me advice on how to build on top of it. The lessons are a good mix of music theory, improvisation, and studying of similar types of music to what I want to make. Since I've started taking lessons I've also improved technically. Nina is a master at songwriting and guitar playing, take lessons from her and also check out her project Indisposed!+ Read More

Nina was an awesome teacher. She worked with me to learn skills that I wanted to develop. She came prepared to every session with lesson print outs. We went over a finger picking style and she placed emphasis for me to play with the appropriate form. She prepared exercises for each lesson in developing skills to play full songs that I picked out. She helped me to transpose non-folk songs into folk songs to better my craft and even taught me some solos from some of my favorite bands. I highly recommend Nina as an instructor. She is patient and well-versed in many styles of music.+ Read More
Nina emphasized the importance of perfecting techniques in playing heavier music, such as: hammer ons, pull offs, two handed tapping, trem picking, and the ability to compose songs from scratch. She worked with me on song structure, and was able to show me how to play various styles of metal and hardcore(with influences such as Counterparts, Deafheaven, and Svalbard). She was great to work with and was very patient with me.+ Read More
Never have I met a more attentive teacher. Nina truly has a knack for reading a student along with reading music.
