Hello, I'm Nicole and I am currently looking to expand my teaching studio! I recently moved to Jersey City from Boston and I’m excited to expand my teaching studio!

While in Boston, I taught at music at Boston College High School and The Boston Woodwind Studio. I am now pursuing a degree at NJCU in Multi-Woodwind Performance. I received my MM from The Boston Conservatory in Composition, and my BMs from Montclair State University with degrees in Music Education and Music Composition with a concentration in clarinet. I hold a New Jersey Education Certification in Music K-12 with Advanced Standing.

I have more than 10 years of experience as a woodwind teacher, and I have been quoted as being “Outstanding!” “A total professional in all aspects of her teaching,” and “A class act, to say the least” by students.

I am a woodwind doubler with proficiency on clarinet, saxophone, bassoon and flute. I also teach piano and music theory and composition. I have experience performing in orchestras, jazz bands, chamber ensembles, and as a soloist. I can help with preparing for auditions, learning a new instrument, or writing your own music.

I am a founding member of Black Sheep Contemporary Ensemble, a group focused on performing new music and collaboration. I have also won numerous composition contests and have been commissioned by schools in the Greater Boston Area.

OUTSTANDING! I find Nicole to be a total professional in all aspects of her teaching. Everything including my initial conversation with her before my first sax lesson, having a productive lesson plan prepared in advance, a genuine polite welcome to her immaculate and impressive music studio and her unquestionable passion to teach with commitment and patience. I have tried several teachers before, but pretty much ended up fending for myself. Nicole has certainly used her knowledge and experience (and patience) to convince me that I will reach my goal to become an accomplished saxophone player if I am willing to put in the time and practice. I am convinced that Nicole is one of the best teachers that I will ever study under. I would gladly refer her to any family member, friend or coworker. Nicole is a "class act" to say the least and definitely deserves top rating!!!

I have been playing flute and piccolo for 6 years. I have been teaching for over 8 years to students of all levels.

As a beginner I will work with you on instrument assembly and care, acquiring good practice habits, and learning the basics. I am also comfortable working with you to buy or rent an instrument if you do not already own one.

If you've been playing for a while I will work with you on assigned ensemble music, audition repertoire, and anything else you'd like!
