Hi! My name is Nick De La O, and I am a bassist living in Los Angeles. I graduated from as a Jazz major from Cal State Northridge, but my passion lies in all many forms of music; jazz, funk, soul, rock'n'roll, and anything with a great bass line. Music and the bass are my passions, and I love learning from my students just as much as teaching them.

Nick is a fantastic teacher, and highly recommended! I have had the fortune of studying bass guitar with Nick for the last year, and have learned immensely, both about playing techniques and music theory. Nick has a fun and encouraging way of making lessons a blast, while covering lots of great material.Nick is an incredible bass player, and makes every lesson awesome!

Nick is an amazing instructor! I started off knowing nothing but the simple fact that I wanted to learn bass. He's helped so much to further my love for the instrument and has helped me through each step, every doubt, and all the sore fingers. Not only have I mastered some of my favorite songs because of him, but he's also shown me so much love and appreciation for music itself. You can really see his passion when he plays and when he teaches. I definitely recommend him as an instructor. You won't be disappointed!

Slap the bass boy! Nick has so much experience and valuable knowledge of the bass that after just a few lessons I could actually feel myself getting better. He really values all genres of music and is not lying when he says he is experienced in all of them. Through various listening sessions we had, he turned me on to so many great bass players of all genres. Nick is the youngest, but by far the best and most engaging bass teacher I have had so far!
