Music is my passion. I began taking piano lessons at the age of 8 (I'm 24) and continued through college to obtain a Music Studies degree at the University of South Florida. I learned music theory, took advanced piano lessons, and learned a bit of jazz as well. I played in a local band in Tampa for about 2.5 years. I also have experience in percussion, having been in marching band in high school. I have taught percussion sections at 2 different high schools, and I am currently co-teaching the percussion section at Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo, FL. I like to compose my own style of music as well, mixing classical and jazz. I'm also a big movie soundtrack fan! I am comfortable teaching just about anything related to music or piano that my student would like to learn, from reading notes and rhythms on sheet music to the proper technique of playing piano or certain percussion instruments, etc. I have a very relaxed, laid-back personality, but my passion for music is ever-growing.
