Learn piano with a custom curriculum!

***NOTICE FOR RECURRING STUDENTS*** Starting Jan 1st, 2024, we will begin using Google Meet for all lessons. You do not need to download any software as Google Meet rooms can be accessed online. If you're looking for someone who has the credentials of a professional, but *doesn't* host a stuffy lesson room, you're in the right place! With 20 years of piano and 6 years of teaching under my belt, I know how how to make piano the easiest thing you'll ever learn. See, part of my process is getting to know you - more specifically, your interests. Any movies, games, oddball fandoms you're into? Tell me about it! I use what I learn to tailor my lessons into something fun, engaging, and not overly patronizing (as most method books are, in my humble opinion). The best part? I work with the goals of my students, not the goals of a set curriculum - which means you actually get a say in what you learn (as it should be!). After all, you shouldn't have to waste time becoming a pro sight reader if you just want to learn a few of your favorite songs. Want to know more? Message me with all your questions! I look forward to meeting you!

I am an artist at heart who loves all things creative! Primarily, I teach piano, as I have been playing for over 20 years, but I also offer lessons in digital composition and drawing (both digital and traditional). I believe building a love for what you learn is the key to learning it. As such, my methods are student-centric and non-traditional - meaning, my planning revolves around my students' interests, and that often means putting the books down for a bit! If you have any inquiries about lessons, feel free to contact me!

Natalie is fantastic. A single lesson in, and she's got me reading bass clef (still slowly, but I can read it now) - and that was something I could *never* do in three years of high school band and a couple of years of intermittent piano lessons. The first part of the session was learning about my skill level, filling in any gaps in "Piano 101" and my musical tastes, The back half was playing Life on Mars (David Bowie) and I'mm having *fun* playing. Excellent teaching style, awesome and fun person. Can't recommend her highly enough.

I'm a fairly experienced musician looking to add piano to my repertoire, and Natalie has a keen sense of both where you are in your journey and how to get you where you want to be. Excellent lessons!
