Songwriting with Myles Y.

Hey, I'm Myles. I graduated from Berklee College of Music as a Composition/Contemporary Writing & Production dual major in 2015. Now, I make music and play it around the world with a band called Native Construct, on Metal Blade Records. The band's exposure has also given me the opportunity to teach music theory and composition privately, which has been incredibly rewarding. Much of what I do with my students is focused on equipping them to effectively articulate their inner creativity -- to help them bring their visions to life, accurately. It's amazing to watch someone gradually sharpen their tools of expression. Many of my students came to me knowing next to nothing about music, and soon enough they're coming up with ideas I never would have thought of myself, and making music that I legitimately enjoy listening to! It's a fascinating trip every time.
