Learn the bass guitar from a gifted teacher with 39+ years of experience

I am 48 years old and have been playing Bass since 9 years of age. I’ve played classical and jazz professionally since I was 14 years old. I play Electric as well as String Bass. I am currently a resident Bassist at the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Club in New Orleans LA since year 2000. I tour extensively having performed in many countries around the world. I teach adults as well as children and feel it is an opportunity for me to give back to the world that which music and more specifically the Bass has given me.

My daughter completed her 3rd lesson with Mitchell a few days ago. She hasn't stopped talking about how much she learned in that 30 min lesson. We'll be staying with him as she grows & learns the double bass.

I'd written a review about Mitchell's teaching ability around six months ago. I'd like to amend it now: I've learned more practical, usable, and musical knowledge from Mitch in six months, than I have in THREE YEARS of studying with other instructors. His eyes and ears focus on the weaknesses in your playing and he gives you appropriate exercises for improvement. A REAL professional.

I’ve been a bass guitar player for decades. I decided to learn the Upright Bass as I’ve always wanted to play in an orchestral setting. Well, as chance would have it, I picked the PERFECT teacher. Mitch is a Pro. He’s patient, knowledgeable, humorous and a TERRIFIC teacher. If you’re SERIOUS about the bass - electric or upright - do yourself a favor and give Mitch a call.
