Saxophone

Beginner

Want to learn how to play the saxophone? Interested in Jazz and Blues? You have come to the right spot! My lessons will start with the basics. From assembly, to the correct embouchure technique, to producing your first notes, I will be your guide as you play your first song on the saxophone! As you continue to learn with me, we will work on scales, jazz conceptions, and eventually preform a jazz or blues song, including your own solo! It will be a fun interactive lesson that should leave you smiling and proud of your progress. Looking forward to working with you.

Hi! My name is Mike and I have been playing saxophone for over 10 years! I grew up in Southern California, graduating from the University of California San Diego in 2016. I have played in many Big Band jazz groups, performed with orchestras for theatre performances, and played in small blues combo groups. 

Music has had such an amazing impact on my life and I love to share my passion for it with others. My lessons will focus on the basics of learning the saxophone while steering towards learning the fundamentals of Jazz and Blues.
