A teacher of guitar, mandolin, and bass for ten years, with a career doubling that, Mike has expertise in rock, alt rock, blues, metal, country, and bluegrass. As a solo songwriter, Mike has released two albums, Love is a Cage, and The World Outside. Over the years, he has opened for Blues Traveler, Donovan, and Richie Havens, was a member of Meg Griffins Train Wreck, feat. pedal-steel legend Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple Sage), and has toured the country with punk rock The Board Lords. Mike is not only one of the best guitarists I've been privileged to know personally, he is also a patient teacher. Beyond fundamentals, he is adept at expressing how the feel of a song is as important as the notes, and conveys his love of music as a lifestyle.
