Hey! My name is Mike. I've spend the last ten years of my life making my living as a professional musician, 9 of those years in New York City. I have played just about every kind of gig there is, anything from festivals, clubs, weddings, parties, churches and dance studios. I have experience teaching all ages and all levels. My experience as a working musician allows to me teach a variety of styles including jazz, r&b, blues, gospel, pop and rock. My approach is individualized to the way you learn, I aim to give you the self sufficiency and ability to grow your music skills independently. I want to make you a better musician not just a better guitarist. We will work on exercises that focus on specific elements of music, such as ear training, rhythm, tone, dynamics, harmony and so on. You can learn so much from playing an instrument. Music is so much fun and can bring you so much joy. Let me help you bring your own unique ideas and expression out of the guitar!
