Every student is unique, and I tailor my lessons to best meet their individual needs. It is important to me that students learn through lessons that are insightful, interactive and fun! :) I began teaching in 1999 and have students of all ages and experience levels. Most recently a student of mine booked a contract for the national tour of "A Christmas Story!" In addition to being a voice and piano teacher, I am also a professional performing artist, singing on stages both in NYC and all over the world. I have a graduate degree in music from the Peabody Conservatory. My musical training began in 1982 and has encompassed voice, flute and piano. I am happy to discuss pricing packages and the possibility of having lessons in your own home, as well as any additional scheduling options I may have available.

Great teacher, she's very patient and encouraging. Michelle helps instill confidence in her students. I had an awesome time relearning piano with her. Michelle is a great option for both children and adults

I can't say enough good things about Michelle! I've taken voice lessons for years, but since graduating college any formal study had fallen by the wayside. Then a friend asked me to sing in her wedding and I needed help getting ready. In just two months, Michelle helped me get out of my head and into my body in a way that I hadn't been able to get to before. Even though Michelle was helping me prepare specific pieces, her strategies and insight helped me to re-solidify my foundation for how I sing. With Michelle, I've been able to find a freedom and ease in my voice that hadn't been able to achieve before. She's skilled and effective, and just a lovely person on top of it all!

Michelle and I worked together on the National Tour of Oliver. When not on stage or traveling, we spent our hours talking vocal technique and working together on exercises conducted by Michelle. I was especially impressed by Michelle's ability to speak my language when it came to accessing my voice. She used her Alexander Technique training to get me out of my head allowing me to trust my own voice. The vocal freedom I was able to access with Michelle was so valuable and I am excited to work with her again.
