I am a cello performance major at DePaul University. I have played cello for 12 years, and I want to share my wealth of knowledge with the next generation of musicians now. I love teaching beginning and intermediate students on cello because I love my instrument very much and I love the energy new students bring to lessons. I teach the basics and essentials of music and musicianship, working with a variety of approaches that will build my students' foundations for years to come. I am patient and understanding. There is expression, emotion, and intellect put into playing the cello, which I will share with my students as they progress.
Very good instructor. I only took a few lessons with Michelle but I really enjoyed how she structured the lesson and the way we went through the short piece of music. She showed me how to technically learn a difficult passage and then place it within the total piece.
