Singing is my specialty! I've studied vocal performance for 12 years now, singing everything from Broadway musicals, to jazz, and opera. Aside from my performing experience, I've carefully studied the anatomy and physics of singing well, and how to get that knowledge across clearly in a one-on-one session. In these lessons, I guarantee that you will notice improvements quickly.

About Lance R.

Ever been told that you’re "a little pitchy," or that you “just need to give it more support?” Tips like these often leave people frustrated because they don’t actually give anyone a plan for improvement. In my lessons we will focus on real, specific issues, and make sure you have a great plan for rapid improvement of your singing abilities. Whether it’s to increase your confidence at karaoke night or to prepare for your first on stage performance, I can help you find your voice.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide music books during lessons, and sometimes write customized exercises for each student. I expect students to acquire their own sheet music, and to purchase copies of any lesson book I may be using.

*** Specialties ***
Singing is my specialty - I received my BM and MM degrees in vocal performance. My Ph. D is in Music Theory, and my related field is Vocal Pedagogy. I also have experience in Jazz singing, saxophone, and piano.

What I appreciate the most about coach Lance is his ability to explain the science behind our voices and how we can control or manipulate our airway to hit certain notes/pitch. Although I am just a beginner, I am super excited to see how far I can go with Lance as my coach!

Lance has been teaching my 8 year old piano for the last few months, and we love having him in our home. He has a wonderful personality, is punctual, communicative, & great with kids. My daughter told me recently that she wanted to be a music teacher- it’s obvious what a positive impact he’s made with her in such a short amount of time. We are all a big fan and I highly recommend his lessons!

Lance is a remarkably effective teacher. I am a beginner at singing and found lessons with him to be very valuable. He does a great job of intently listening to your current abilities and knowing exactly what drills and exercises will be most helpful to you in order to improve quickly. He is very invested in you meeting your goals. I would highly recommend taking lessons with Lance!

I came in with no background knowledge of singing, and Lance provided me with a great foundation to get started. He took time to print me off practice sheets, and even would send me videos to help my understanding. I would strongly recommend Lance to anyone that has a desire to improve their singing.

I am very pleased taking class of saxophone with Michael. This was my third lesson with him. Guess what! I can play a Happy Birth song by memory. He takes seriously to teach me how to read the music and how to recognize major scales. I look forward to learning more from him. I recommend if someone wants to take saxophone lesson, please pick Mike.
