Guitar

Beginner

Michael is a passionate guitar player based in Manhattan. Since he first picked up the instrument 16 years ago, he has worked with several instructors, performed live, and developed proficiency across multiple genres including blues, jazz, heavy metal, and classical.

Michael's teaching experience includes serving as a tutor in algebra and organic chemistry in high school and college, and less formally as a guitar teacher among fellow musicians. 

Michael emphasizes breaking down dense material into easily digestible pieces so that the development of musical literacy enriches one's enjoyment of playing guitar.

My goal is to enable my students to enjoy playing guitar as much as I do. I will tailor each lesson to my student's ability, pace, and musical interests.
