Hi, there! My name is Michael and I can't wait to meet you! I have 1 year teaching experience but I love helping students feeling comfortable with their instrument, finding out how they learn, and discovering the best way to teach them by making learning fun. I do not currently hold any degrees in music but I received private lessons, took courses in music theory, and learned to read and compose music. I graduated from a performing arts school and was a section leader in the Jazz Band for 2 years. I have had my own indie band for the last 2 years and we tour on occasion. I am currently a full time music major student and a hard working musician that absolutely loves what I do. My teaching styles focus on ear training, chord construction, improvisation, and technique. I enjoy developing challenging yet achievable goals for students as I attempt to give them the tools they need to succeed. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
