I am a professional singer, pianist and voice teacher based in northern Illinois. I attended the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where I earned a bachelor's degree in music education as well as bachelor's and master's degrees in vocal performance.

Since graduating from IU, I have sung at several opera companies, including Michigan Opera Theatre, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the Merola Opera Program, Syracuse Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, Sacramento Philarmonic and Opera, and more. I absolutely love traveling and singing as a career, but I get even more personal fulfillment from teaching voice lessons.

I have worked for the past 5 years to set up a private studio, and teach students of all ages both in person and online. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has begun, I of course have shifted all of my lessons to online, and I have found that my voice teaching method translates particularly well to online lessons.

I teach voice using a wholistic method - I truly believe that one's whole life experience comes into play when singing, and by using simple tools of speaking naturally and breathing thoughtfully, every single student has the potential for greatness in the voice studio and beyond. My goal is to help each student discover and cultivate their most authentic voice and release its inherent beauty and power.

Although my professional singing has been focused on classical music, I teach all genres. I believe that the different styles of singing have a lot more in common than we all think. Great singing is great singing.
