21 Students are Selected from hundreds of applicants through a nation wide audition process each year to become members of one of them most prestigious Collegiate Ensembles. Throughout the summer, the band learns and memorizes 5 sets of difficult music and choreography all while taking masterclasses from the industries finest musicians, recording engineers, Music business specialists and others to further their knowledge of the professional world of music.

Split Lead in the All-American College Band

I recently graduated from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music where I had special emphasis on lead trumpet in a bigband setting. In my lessons, well be focusing on the techniques I have developed over the past few years in range and endurance. All ages are welcome as you can never start too early unlocking the true potential of the trumpet.

I am a recent graduate of shenandoah conservatory where I spent my time focusing on the abilities needed to become a lead trumpet player. Durring my time there I had the honor of working with members of the nations Millitary jazz ensembles including: The Army Blues, The Navy Commodores, and The Airmen of Note. This past summer I was a member of the 2016 Disneyland All American College Band where I worked with artists such as Wayne Bergeron, Gordon Goodwin, Ron Carter, and many others. In our lessons, we will be working on expanding your potential as a trumpet player through range excersizes and breathing/endurance techniques that have been taught to me by many lead players all over the country.

Michael was a great instructor for my 11 year old son. We decided to lake lessons after playing a few years with instruction from Dad.  He was ready for a new challenge and probably a new instructor. We asked Mike to give him some Jazz lessons. It was so fun listening to them play together almost immediately. Michael is very patient as a teacher and made it fun for my son. We would still be taking lessons today if we lived in the same state. I highly recommend Michael as an instructor for any level of student.
