Singing with Michael A.

I earned a BFA in Musical Theater and a minor in Music, as well as a post-baccalaureate certificate in Speech & Hearing Sciences, where I studied vocal physiology and function. I have been coaching my peers since 2011 and began working with private students shortly after. I use vocal techniques and didactic methods that are based in science and the innate physiology of the voice. I believe this form of "evidence based practice" frees the natural voice and makes you sound like you! I believe classical technique is the foundation for all healthy singing, but I am well versed in the stylistic and technical demands of many different genres and I have expertise in making those adjustments in my own performance.
