My name is Menno Verbaten. I have been teaching bass guitar professionally for over 20 years and have worked in the music industry since 1998 as a free lance session bassist and instructor.
I am truly passionate about bass guitar in all its forms.
I have taught students from all walks of life, skill level and stylistic preference. I also offer music theory and reading lessons if requested.
I provide all students with PDF notation and/or tablature of all subjects that were talked about in our lessons.

My name is Menno Verbaten.
I am originally from the Netherlands and have been a Los Angeles native since 1997.
I have taught at Musicians Institute for 18 years and been a free lance session bassist, recording artist and instructor for over 20 years, performing and recording across the globe.
I have performed with artists such as: Steve Vai, Marty Friedman, George Lynch, Paul Gilbert, Jacob Armen, Bow Wow Wow and countless others and have releases on Metal Blade Records, Relapse Records, Ripple Records and Nuclear Blast Records.
I play 4-string, 5-string and fretless bass.
