In the first few lessons, you can expect to have an improved knowledge of the style that you enjoy singing most, an improved technique in that style and a better understanding of the theory that is necessary to make each song authentic to the composer and most importantly, yourself as an artist!

Hello! My name is Melissa and I am a recent graduate from Ball State University with a Bachelors in Vocal Performance. Music has been present in my life for it's entirety.

Melissa Nolan and I went to college together. But she was more than a peer, friend, or colleague. She was a teacher to me. I turned to Melissa for vocal guidance because of her talent, knowledge and passion. I truly believe she can help anyone to sing. She knows her instrument inside and out, the knowledge she possesses about vocal pedagogy helps the student build musical vocabulary to better communicate the physical process of singing. In this day and age in the competitive field of singing it is not enough to be an uneducated musician. Melissa uses vocal approaches molded to the individual student, and when she gets stumped by a question she works as hard as she can to help the student find the answer. She has years and years of knowledge and training to share, not just in voice but she has a knack for diction and languages as well. A student could come to her for a multitude of reasons and receive knowledge from world renowned performers and instructors. Any student serious about singing would be lucky to work with an instructor like Melissa Nolan.
