Piano with Meghan B.

I have been playing piano since I was 3 years old, and truly fell in love with music at the age of 13. I strive to make lessons as fun for kids as possible, so they can fall in love with music from the beginning. I have a degree in Music Education from University of Valley Forge, I worked full time as a music director at a church for 5 1/2 years, and currently serve on a volunteer basis with music at my church. I have taught students from a variety of backgrounds and ages. I believe that teaching theory along with the playing is an important part of taking lessons. I have found that it helps build the foundations for a greater understanding and expression of music. One of my greatest joys in teaching is helping my students discover how to express emotion and feeling through their music. I like to utilize curriculum series to help students learn and develop. What course will be used depends on the age and previous knowledge of each student. I like blending classical with contemporary for a well-rounded experience.
