Versatile Cellist and Teacher with 10+ years experience

I have 20 years of experience playing cello and about 10 years of teaching cello, specifically through private lessons and public school orchestras. I have taught a huge variety of students with different needs and interests and welcome all ages and experience levels. I love learning your strengths and weaknesses, then customizing lessons to address them. You will have rote technique balanced with note reading and classical repertoire balanced with modern.

Hello, Welcome to my profile. I am glad you are considering string lessons! I am currently accepting online or in-person students. I am a professional teacher as well as a cellist from the age of 9 and a violinist from the age of 18. I earned my bachelors degree in Music Education with an Instrumental Emphasis in 2015 and my Masters in Music Education, Instrumental Pedagogy in 2019. I have experience with learners of a variety of styles and ages by teaching in the public school system - Elementary Music for three years and Middle School Orchestra for four years. Three words to describe my teaching style are: positive, patient, and firm. I enjoy curating lessons and repertoire for individual needs and interests. I also use a variety of technology resources that I create myself. Thank you for visiting my profile. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Megan was a wonderful and patient teacher! I learned Cello from her from 2016-2019. She was super patient, engaging, and was wonderful at helping an absolute beginner pick up an instrument!
