About Matthew R.

Pianist Matthew Raisky has an extensive background in classical performance and accompanying. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2019 where he studied under Dr. Robert Satterlee, and was trained in piano pedagogy under Fulbright recipient Dr. Cole Burger. Previously, he attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts during the summers of 2012 and 2013, where he was the recipient of the Fine Arts Award in Piano (2013) and the Tuesday Musicale Scholarship (2012), under the direction of Dr. Caroline Bridger and Dr. Michael Coonrod. In addition to his specialization in contemporary and late-romantic piano works, Raisky studied Organ with Professor Michael Gartz. He currently serves as the organist and accompanist for the music ministries of Hope Lutheran Church in Toledo, OH.

Matthew is an excellent teacher that prioritizes his students having fun playing the piano while being able to balance teaching the theory behind it. A lesson is never boring, and inspires you to keep playing afterwords.
