I am a professional music teacher and pianist. I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education with a primary concentration in Piano. While teaching high school (AP Music Theory, Music Technology I, II, III, and Chorus), I earned my Masters of Science in Music Education and later a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I teach students to read music and provide the performance foundation necessary to play in the western art music tradition and in subsequent performance styles including jazz and contemporary styles. As part of developing the whole musician in each student, I focus on developing skills associated with ear training and improvisation so students are not limited to playing music written on paper. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

I had never studied online before and thought it would be weird for piano. It was not weird, it was amazing. Dr. B. uses several cameras so I can see his face and his hands on the keyboard. It is just like being there in person.

My teenage son wanted to take music lessons to have another activity to add to his college applications. We knew Dr. B. previously and know he is a good teacher. My son has greatly enjoyed studying with him and said he wants to continue playing piano for fun when he goes to college.
