Piano was my first instrument, and the best instrument for all beginners. I teach everything from the Suzuki method to Elton John to Art Tatum to Herbie Hancock

About Benjamin
I grew up in Glenside moved to Pittsburgh for school and came back because I love it here...I've been playing for 17 years and have a smorgasbord of influences from Zeppelin to the Beatles to Phish to Radiohead to the dirty projectors to Jay Z to Kurt Rosenwinkel & John Scofield. I have been composing and working with original bands for some 11 years and play regularly in the city and up and down the east coast. I have also been teaching for the past 11 years all over the Philadelphia area. i teach from a method I derived myself from years of learning both in and out of school. I think teaching music is both aural as well as visual and encourage students to listen to music a lot. most of all i feel that music is fun and the students should enjoy learning so i incorporate their favorite artists and favorite songs into our studies. for seri
ous students I love theory and love sharing what I've discovered over the years.

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm a very laid back guy but I take my playing seriously. music is my life and there's nothing I enjoy sharing and expressing more. I learned to love playing guitar when I was 12 from the coolest guitar teacher ever. he had a vibe that i gravitated toward and encouraged me in just the right ways to get me believing in myself. I try to encourage my students the same way. music should be fun above all and sculpt my lessons to each students individual needs so that they are better equipped to succeed.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect them to provide guitar/bass/piano

David is a very skilled drummer and a very enthusiastic teacher. In lessons, he seems to like to split time between practicing rudiments and learning to play different rhythms on the set. He is also exceptionally patient and supportive with my 9-year-old, highly distractible daughter. David is very positive, pointing out things that are going well and interesting rhythms that they discover. I am really glad we found David--he is an excellent teacher and I love watching my daughter learn so much about music!

I believe to teach piano effectively you must follow the path that fits the student's personality.

I teach a structured program of sight reading, theory, harmony, and just about every style of music, from Classical to Pop. You will achieve immediate results as well as have fun learning and being creative.

If you want to learn how to write your own music I'll show you how. I have solo recordings available through my site, as well as iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby. My latest recording was with Grammy Award winning producer, Will Ackerman, founder of Windham Hill Records.

Experienced teacher of 20 years, specializing in the beginner/intermediate piano student and the beginner/intermediate/advanced vocal student! All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique. As a bonus, I specialize in songwriting. Part of my music program involves you composing and producing your own song. Send me a message and let's get started!

About Thilana
I am a professional singer, pianist, songwriter, and recording artist. I graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelors of Arts in Education and from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Arts in Education Administration. I have been teaching piano and voice lessons for over 15 years in my own music business servicing the South Jersey area.

Voice students can expect to improve week to week in their vocal technique. Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students how to apply basic, effective techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano, gospel piano and contemporary keyboard. I can teach students to read music and pursue musical excellence, to learn how
to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student.

As a professional recording artist, I have released my own project, Psalms 37:25 in April of 2016. I have written songs for gospel independent artists, choirs, and worship teams. I love to mentor students who want to become effective, dynamic songwriters.

My personal passion is to develop the whole musician towards their personal development, sound, and style. I strongly believe that a strong foundation in theory and technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

I love sharing the gift of music with others! Piano is a wonderful instrument to learn and progress comes quickly! In my lessons I focus on a combination of technique and performance pieces. The interests of students are also very important to me and I try to cater each lesson to the individual student.

About Bronwyn
I'm an avid violinist and pianist. I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in May 2017 with a degree in Violin Performance and minors in Music History and Piano Pedagogy.

I love sharing my music with others and believe teaching is one of the best ways of doing that. My lessons are built around the unique interests of each student so that they feel positive about what they're learning and their progress.

I believe that much time is wasted by practicing inefficiently so I spend time each lesson discussing not only how to fix the problems students encounter, but how to practice more effectively. I like to challenge each student to approach music as an artist approaches a painting. Skill and technique are as equally important as telling (or painting) a story with each new song!
